Here is how to add a new card:
- Begin by selecting the 'Me' option within the app. This will take you to your personal profile section, where you can manage your account settings and preferences.
- Next, navigate to the 'Accounts and cards' section. Here, you will find an overview of the bank accounts and payment cards that are currently linked to your profile.
- Once you are in the 'Accounts and cards' section, look for and select the 'Add Card' option. This feature allows you to register a new payment card to your account for easier transactions.
- After selecting 'Add Card,' you will be prompted to enter specific information related to your card. Carefully fill in your card number or account number, the expiration date of your card, and the CVC code. The CVC code is a three-digit security number found in the signature panel on the back of your card; it is the last three digits in the series of numbers printed there. Make sure all the details you provide are accurate to avoid any issues with adding your card.
- Finally, once all the required information has been entered, select the Add/Register button. This will complete the process of linking your new card to your account, allowing you to use it for future transactions.
You also have the option to assign custom names to your cards and accounts. By giving each card or account a unique and easily recognizable name, you can quickly identify and select the correct one when you want to send money. This can help you stay organized and avoid confusion during transactions.
Please keep in mind that your payment card is strictly personal. For security reasons, you are only permitted to add cards that are registered in your own name to Vipps. Adding cards belonging to other individuals is not allowed.
